BALDWIN COUNTY COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC BALDWIN COUNTY, AL,
February 9, 2021 – The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is the lead agency for the COVID-19 vaccine initiative. OWA, the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency (BCEMA), the City of Foley, the City of Orange Beach, along with numerous local volunteers are working together to provide logistical support for the clinic. No appointments are taken for these clinics.
Vaccination clinics are scheduled for the following dates/times, pending vaccine availability:
FEB. 9th, 16th, 18th, 23rd & 25th – from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
MAR 2nd & 4th – from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The vaccine utilized at this location is the Moderna vaccine. The vaccination clinics are being conducted at OWA located at 1501 S. OWA Blvd, Foley, AL 36535.
There is no charge for the vaccine, however individuals must meet eligibility requirements:
• healthcare workers, first responders, law enforcement,
• those 65 and older,
• frontline critical workers (Food and agriculture workers; U.S. Postal Service workers; manufacturing workers; grocery store workers; public transit workers);
• educators including childcare workers, k-12, community colleges, and all higher education institutions (teachers and support staff members);
• judiciary (including but not limited to district judges, circuit judges, and district attorneys);
• clergy/ministers:
• includes state of Alabama continuity of Government strategy (state legislators, supreme court and appellate judges, constitutional officers, and cabinet agency heads).
For those who have already received their first dose of vaccine, an allotment of vaccine was set aside for second doses. This ensures that those who received their first dose of vaccine will receive their second dose within the required time frame. Individuals will be required to bring their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (example below) to receive their booster shot.
There are several options for individuals wishing to obtain the vaccine in Baldwin County. If individuals wish to make an appointment, local providers/hospitals may be contacted directly for additional details on their respective facilities.
