The Internal Revenue Service is putting a check mark next to stimulus checks. The agency announced all the first and second Economic Impact Payments it is "legally permitted" to send out have been distributed.
The IRS says more than 160-million checks were sent for the first round of payments and more than 147-million for the second. Some of those payments may still be in the mail.
So what do you do if you didn't get yours or didn't get the full amount you're due? Claim it on your tax return.
Of course, it's not as simple as looking for Stimulus Check or Economic Impact Payments. You'll need to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit. Look for it on line 30 of the 2020 Form 1040 or 1040-SR.
