Be warned... "The Muppet Show" could be offensive.
Disney Plus is adding "offensive content" disclaimers ahead of 18 episodes of "The Muppet Show."
Was it something Miss Piggy said? Or those two grumpy guys in the balcony?
Disney says the show includes some, quote, "negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures."
The disclaimer says, quote, "These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together."
They didn't give any examples of the questionable content. And it only applies to 18 of the 118 episodes available.
The series first aired in the mid-70s but was only uploaded to Disney plus on Friday.
