Dolly Gets "A Dose Of Her Own Medicine"

Dolly Parton posted a video of her getting the shot from the Vanderbilt doctor whose vaccine research she helped fund... so yes, it's literally a dose of her own medicine.

And she was every bit the entertainer, as she got her shot... singing to the tune of her hit song "Jolene" to encourage others to get the shot too:

“Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, I’m begging of you please don’t hesitate. Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, ‘cause once you’re dead that’s a bit too late.”

And yes, she said she was trying to be light and funny, but she's "dead serious" about the vaccine.

Oh, and she added, "Don't be such a chicken squat. Get out there and get your shot."

The 75-year-old has been eligible for a while, but she decided to wait because she didn't want it to seem like she was being favored.

It's been almost a year since Dolly donated one-million dollars to Vanderbilt University for its COVID-19-research efforts. She streamed her experience live from Vanderbilt yesterday on social media.
