Now, I'm not saying that crime DOES pay... but maybe persistence does? It also doesn't hurt to be adorable.
A Dollar General Store in Kenansville, North Carolina, was having trouble with an unusual thief, so they called animal control.
The thief was a stray dog who kept coming into the store to steal the same thing---a purple unicorn stuffed animal.
The dog's name is Sisu... and the animal control officer who brought him in also bought the toy for him.
The adorable Facebook post from the shelter went viral and Sisu (and his unicorn) were adopted the next day.
The dog became the "face" of the shelter on Facebook, complete with a photo shoot that makes you fall in love with both the dog and his toy!
