The mayor of D.C. has issued new restrictions on weddings, and it's causing brides to move their ceremonies to Virginia and Maryland at the last minute.
The latest pandemic order limits capacity for indoor and outdoor weddings to 25% and bans dancing at weddings.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says the dancing ban is “an extra layer of safety,” to keep people from getting too close and touching each other.
D.C. isn’t the only place that bans dancing; Illinois and Michigan have similar bans in place. New York and New Jersey recently relaxed their restrictions on dancing.
