Can Asparagus Prevent Hangovers?

As a child, there were several vegetables I did not love.

And some I have learned to like. Others, like brussel sprouts... sorry, it's not happening.

But asparagus I've learned to appreciate. It's a very tasty vegetable, filled with fiber and nutrients. It's good for you!

But new research finds it may be good for you in another way-- to prevent hangovers.

A study finds asparagus contains amino acids and minerals that can make hangovers less terrible. It can also help increase levels of enzymes that help the body metabolize alcohol.

So if you see somebody loading up on asparagus... you might know why.
