WATCH: Lightning Strikes A Golf Ball In Mid-Air

First off, if it's stormy (i.e. lightning), you should not be standing outside with a golf club (aka, personal lightning rod.)

But it wasn't stormy when Tomas Gomez and his friends went to TopGolf in San Antonio. And when it started durnig their last 30 minutes of tee time, they were wrapping it up.

But Tomas had to hit just one more.

He has just hit the ball 88 mph off the tee when THE BALL WAS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING mid-flight.

And his friends caught it on camera. The video was posted on TopGolf's Instagram late last week. The company says no one was hurt and everyone was safely evacuated.

Gomez told KSAT it was "actually pretty scary" when he started thinking about it.

One would imagine.
