It's been so hot this summer that some watermelons are fermenting. And that's not a good thing.
People around the country have noticed that there's foam oozing out of cracks in some of the watermelons they've picked up at the store.
Experts say it's because the melons were grown under hotter-than-normal circumstances. Then they pick up bacteria somewhere along the way, and it combines with the sugar and yeast to cause fermentation.
And no, it's not safe to eat! (It might also explode if you try to cut it open.)
