Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia had to apologize to their nursing students after their names were grossly mispronounced during their graduation.
Apparently, the announcer had been given poor phonetic spellings of the names. But Elizabeth? Thomas? Thomas is part of the school's name!
They ended up switching out announcers midday through the graduation.
Jimmy Fallon did have a point though. He said you have to give the announcer credit; she made a graduation entertaining!
