Thousands of Skittles fell off a truck in Wisconsin not long ago; and if you were at the scene, CNN reports that the smell was unmistakable. But the real story is where those Skittles had originally been going: to be used as cattle feed. Yup, the cows are eating candy! (And not even the good candy, which is defined as chocolate).
This has been happening for years. WBAY/Green Bay says that excess candy gets sold as feed because it provides cheap carbs. And apparently, it's not terrible. But if we are what we eat, I'm not sure this is something I want to hear.
