Fortune Cookie Writer Retires: "Writer's Block"

Yes, writing the words that go inside a fortune cookie is a real job. Fortunes just don't write themselves, after all. And the best fortune cookie writer has a problem.

Donald Lau has been the Chief Fortune Writer at Wonton Foods for three decades, but now he's retiring... and for a good reason: writer's block. Lau used to write 100 fortunes a year, but can't come up with anything new lately. He's written just 2-3 per month for the past year, and that's just not enough for the 4.5 million cookies produced by Wonton foods each day.

Lau is passing his pen to James Wong, a nephew of the company's founder. Hopefully, he'll give us some interesting predictions about our future, without predicting any personal drama.
