The innocent man who was brutally killed by the so-called "Facebook Killer" was 74-year-old Robert Godwin, Sr. According to WSFA/Montgomery, he was originally from Plantersville, Alabama and moved to Cleveland as a young man. His mother and sister still live in Dallas County (Selma).
Everything we read about Robert says he was a hardworking man, a kind man... a good man. He didn't deserve to be taken this way. But his family believes in forgiveness. Watch their powerful words to Anderson Cooper on CNN:
