Believe it or not, it's Alabama Week on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Apparently, Alabama watches the Comedy Central show the least among all 50 states. So their "correspondents" are spending a week in the state to "get to know Alabama."
In Monday's segment, Desi Lydic visited the pastor at Friends of Internationals Ministry in Mobile. Here, Pastor Jim Mather introduced us to some Iraqi and Syrian refugees who live among us, who love Mobile and its people.
She also spoke with Alabama's first openly gay member of the state legislature (Rep. Patricia Todd - D) and visited a church in Birmingham.
There will be three more segments from Alabama this week, and we'll keep an eye on them. Has the Daily Show been fair to our state? Watch and judge for yourself.
