Too Much Time With Your Phone? Here's a Cure

 

Smartphone addiction is a real thing. I take Atticus for a walk and look at my smartphone. I read the news on my smartphone. I check scores and Facebook and Twitter.... and so much more.

Tristan Harris appeared on CBS to talk about our addiction to phones, and how the designers work really hard to ensure you're getting addicted. He also offers a partial solution: change the color of your screeen to grayscale (essentially black-and-white). He says that it's not necessarily a cure-all, but it makes Snapchat and Instagram a lot less interesting. And that could help keep you off the phone.

It's a worthwhile interview and an even more worthwhile discussion. Take a look.
