Food Network Chef Tries Some Local Eats

The Food Network has been spending some time on the Central Gulf Coast lately. There's Ginormous Food with Josh Denny, which visited a few restaurants in Mobile and Fairhope.

Then The Great Food Truck Race came through Pensacola just a couple of weeks ago, three years after it had made an appearance in Downtown Mobile.

And after filming in Pensacola, chef Tyler Florence had some time to devote to his own Wolf It Down audio podcast. He made several delicious stops, including the original Panini Pete's and Sunset Pointe in Fairhope, Mary's Southern Cooking in Mobile, and some other Alabama stops on the road to Tuscaloosa.

The podcast has been available on iTunes since June 10th. You can also ready Michelle Matthews' al.com article about the podcast.
