The States With the Most Miserable Summers

I'm not going to argue with this new ranking. According to Thrillist.com, the Southern states have some of the most miserable summers in the country. Alabama ranked 4th, while Florida ranked 8th. Both are listed behind Mississippi, but let's face it -- arguing which of the Gulf Coast states has the hottest, stickiest summers is like arguing the pronunciation of "Don" vs. "Dawn." (Some people say there's a difference).

I've grown used to summers on the Gulf Coast, but I've never learned to really like the heat and humidity. The good news is that we make up for our hot, sticky summers with mild winters. Plus, our spring and fall feel usually feel like summer up north. Two perfect seasons, one mild winter... and the beach. Yeah, I'll live with a miserable summer for that.

The least miserable summers, if you're curious, happen in Washington state.
