Where NOT to Put a Back-to-School "Hero" Sign

This happened at Walmart. And we're wondering what were they thinking when someone put a back to school "hero" sign on a gun display?

The suggestion appears to be that kids would be a hero at school, if they brought a gun. But that assumes someone was thinking. A big assumption.

Here's what probably REALLY happened: A Walmart manager gets all these back to school signs, and then instructs the associates* to put the signs up all over the store. Nobody really puts any thought into the best places to put them up, or the spots that might be really not a good idea -- like the gun display.

To its credit, Walmart apologized within minutes... and said it had been taken down.

* Why must Walmart and now so many businesses call their employees "associates?" Might be the world's silliest way to describe an employee. If you want a more positive word to describe an employee, might I suggest "colleague?"
