The iPhone X Unveil Had a Problem

I've got an iPhone 6S, which puts me a couple of models behind. One of the reasons for waiting is because the older models tend to be cheaper; and in the case of the new Apple iPhone X (just say "10"), a lot cheaper. The new model will cost about $1000. And yeah, people will pay for it over time as part of their monthly bill, but that's a lot of money for a phone. 

The other reason I'm not into being a "first mover," is because I'd like the kinks to be worked out of these products before buying one for myself. Apple gave us a big example of that at their iPhone X unveil yesterday. When it came time to open the iPhone with its groundbreaking facial recognition technology, it didn't actually work. Anyway, we assume it's going to work on phones sold to the general public (at least sometimes). And that brings up the question of security...
