You may have heard that American Idol is coming to Mobile for auditions Tuesday (Aug 20) at GulfQuest Maritime Museum.
BUT according to GulfQuest and Visit Mobile, "Your journey begins at the Mobile Convention Center for registration and if selected, you’ll audition along the Mobile River at GulfQuest!"
The doors to the Mobile Convention Center will open at 6 a.m. for people to begin lining up to register to audition. Idol producers will take groups over to the auditions at GulfQuest.
****Note to people who work downtown--- Traffic will be busy around the Convention Center/GulfQuest Tuesday******
You can register at the audition but Idol producers recommend you register online and come prepared with Release Form, Story Form, and paperwork for Minors.
You have to bring a photograph of yourself and valid ID... and you can bring 1 person with you, but they must be with you at registration.
Oh, and the age range is 15 to 28.
And if you wait til late in the day to register, they may run out of space or time for you to try out.
